Shock mounts in chair Eames Lounge (670) and Ottoman (671)  are one of the most important constructive parts of the chair. Unfortunately they are most susceptible to damages called „achilles hill” ,until now Herman Miller did not change that solution Which causes a characteristic feature of this chair. The shock mounts are made from metal, covered by ruber, which over the flow of time oxidizes and gets old. Herman Miller ,for shock mounts, guarantees 3 years.

For repair  Eames Lounge Chair (670) and Ottoman (671) not deviating from the original, I made shock mount absorbers from metal and wooden parts, providing a good combination of arms joints and good amortization.

Entirety it does not stray off the original. Additionally Shock mounts are protected by a coating against oxidizing and wearing.  Additionally the shock mounts are checked and tested for durability of 250 /300 lbs. This Guarantees the good quality of the job. Every repaired chair by me is covered by this warranty five years.
